Tonyscallon Lake Project
A feasibility study looking into the possibility of developing recreational facilities around Tonyscallon Lake was commissioned by the DDCDA in 2011. The project was funded by Cavan-Monaghan Integrated Development. The feasibility study is available to download here (Sections of the report identifying or relating to individual landowners have been omitted from this publication in the interests of privacy and security):

An ecology study was then undertaken by Woodrow Sustainable Solutions in November 2011. The ecology study was part-funded by Monaghan County Council and the DDCDA paid the outstanding balance from it's own funds;

Building Peace Through the Arts
In 2014 the DDCDA secured funding for Stage 1 of a public arts project through the 'Building Peace through the Arts' project. Over 25 local people took part in a series of dramatic public consultation workshops to develop a brief for the project - the results of this Stage 1 public consultation phase are available here:
Stage One Artist Report, November 2014
Subject to funding it is hoped that we may be in a position to commission a piece of public art for the village in the future.
