The DDCDA has made a funding application for the appointment of a consultant to undertake a feasibility study for the proposed Tonyscallon Lake project.
Developing the lake as a recreational facility for walking and fishing was identified as something local people wanted in the 2007 Community Audit. The feasibility study would scope the logistical aspects of developing the lake, including dealing with landowners, the type of facility which could be developed, cost estimates and potential funding sources. A decision is now awaited from Leader as to whether the funding application has been successful.
