Everyone is welcome to attend.
We will recap what has been another very busy year;
- This year we participated in Phase 1 of a cross border project with REACT Armagh, and have recently received approval to proceed with a 2nd Phase of the project in 2012/2013.
- Since June 2012 the DDCDA has worked with Monaghan Community Forum's Hands Together 2 project to develop a Peace III funded Biodiversity Garden at the Community Hall. This fantastic project would not have been possible without the support of over 70 committed volunteers who have showed up for over 17 weeks, and the generosity of many local people who donated materials and equipment to the project. The DDCDA has also part-funded the project.
- The DDCDA has continued to maintain the community website www.doohamlet.com, has kept a blog with details of all of it's projects and continue to spread important and interesting community information through Facebook, the Northern Standard Community Notes and the Parish Bulletin.
- The DDCDA will continue to promote the Mid Monaghan Directory to promote and support local business.
- We ran a Community Christmas event in December 2011.
- We have members involved in the Golden Jubilee Community Hall Redevelopment project.
- The DDCDA is progressing a project to develop Tonyscallon Lake as a recreational amenity and have already commissioned a feasibility study and an ecology study (Available to view form our Downloads page).
