React Armagh and Doohamalet
have been successful in receiving funding for the ‘Crossing the Border’ project for 2013. This project is funded by the International
Fund for Ireland and is managed by the Northern Ireland Rural Development
Council (RDC) under the Integrating Communities Programme.
This project is an exploration of shared
history and culture and aims to facilitate the groups and the two communities
to build further relationships and engage in a range of joint activities.
There are a range of activities, courses and
programmes for all age groups to get involved with. This engagement with this
project will benefit each community and each individual’s personal and social
development, some of the programmes and courses are accredited to enhance your
CV.
So let’s make 2013 a year of further learning
with others in a different community and enjoy all the day trips and residentials
while always having fun and craic, transport and refreshments are provided at
every event.
