Peace III Closing Event, 8pm on Tuesday 29th March 2011
Doohamlet will have a Peace III project closing event on Tuesday, 29th March in the Golden Jubilee Hall at 8pm.
The event will recount all of the events that took part over the past 18 months within the Doohamlet "All Together Forever" project, funded by Peace III. €50,000 was secured from Peace III to build positive relations at local level - the Doohamlet District Community Development Association came together with 9 other local project partners to run the "All Together Forever" project.
Under the project a wide range of events were held and were open to all members of the community to attend.
Events included;
- Opening Launch
- Trips to the Ploughing Championships
- Community Christmas Events in 2009 and 2010
- Community Citizens Information Day
- Community Gardening
- Community Excercise and Nutrition
- School Musical
- Community Music Project
In addition to the community events, funding was also made available for a major refurbishment project in the Community Hall and a laptop was acquired for use by the Community.
We now invite everyone in the Community to a closing event to mark the Peace III "All Together Forever" project. The event will consist of a photographic slideshow of events, a presentation about the project and light refreshments will be served. We hope all of the project partners will attend to recount their expereince of the project on the night. 8pm, Golden Jubilee Hall, Tuesday, 29th March. All Are Welcome!
